@Girlwithamenu (GWAM) began in 2017 as a humble college food Instagram — and unexpectedly blew up after sparking an internet debate over deep dish pizza. That post racked up over a million views (and thousands of passionate comments from thin crust defenders — hi, New Yorkers). After a brief hiatus, GWAM jumped right back into the chaos with a controversial take on hot Cheetos pasta.
Since then, I've shifted gears to focus on less polarizing (but still fun) restaurant reviews, using my signature GWAM formula: G(o or don’t go), W(ow factor), A(mbiance), and M(enu).
More recently, I've added home-cooked food reviews (jipbab) to the mix — because with how often I eat at home these days, I believe every meal should feel restaurant-worthy. Do I cook them all? Honestly, no (shoutout to the main chef in my life — you know who you are). But what I lack in culinary chops, I try to make up for with my Anton Ego-style commentary.
